In other news, OCTOBER MOON continues to air successfully on the ON DEMAND network. Check your local listings.

Finally, we know you're all growing tired of waiting for the OCTOBER MOON sequel, NOVEMBER SON, to shine its pretty face. At this point the editing, color correcting and ADR/voiceover work is complete! All we're waiting on is the final 20 minutes of the music score by Jamey Sewell. Should we give a release date? No. NOVEMBER SON's production has been too bumpy of a ride with technical snaffus, reshoots, etc etc, and every time we've announced a release date, said date has come and gone. However, the light is finally shining bright at the end of the tunnel, so it's time to start checking in frequently again to watch for an announcement of our theatrical dates. Hopefully sooner than later. As always, you can get more details at our sister sequel site www.novembersonthefilm.com.

9.12.07 - BIG news all the way around for us. OCTOBER MOON has just received a contract to air on Pay-Per-View through the TVN Network beginning October 1st and will run through the end of 2007! And that's not all!

A distribution deal was recently signed for release in France thru the company Les Films de L'Ange. There is a minor change to the title, as company rep, Rémi Lange, recently informed us, "I entitled OCTOBER MOON le seul que j'aie jamais aimé (in French), [which translates to] THE ONLY ONE I EVER LOVED (taken from a sentence in the movie)....[the] DVD will release at the end of October 2007." More information posting as it becomes available.

Finally, for those waiting anxiously for NOVEMBER SON, we've finally shot the 4 additional scenes we felt needed to be added following our July test screening in Chicago. The new footage, involving some freaky interaction between Marti (Tina Ona Paukstelis) and Elliot (Jerod Howard), will amp up the suspense in the center of the story and bring more screen time to OCTOBER MOON's troubled couple, which we felt was missing. We're still looking to begin limited theatrical screenings this year - hopefully this November, which would make sense.

On a side note, the B+Boy Productions/Tempe Entertainment documentary SOMETHING TO SCREAM ABOUT, has just received a drastic price reduction both in stores and even LOWER directly from the Tempe website www.tempevideo.com. Check out this look at the lives of 10 horror film actresses including OCTOBER MOON's Judith O'dea (Night of the Living Dead), Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), Ariauna Albright (Bloodletting) and NOVEMBER SON addition Debbie Rochon (Witchouse 3: Demon Fire).

Keep stopping by www.octobermoonthefilm.com and www.novembersonthefilm.com for television, DVD and theatrical dates on both films.

6.23.07 - At long last (over a year and a half since our distributor Tempe made the deal), OCTOBER MOON is being released on DVD in the Ukraine with all new voice overs/subtitles and more!!! Tempe President J.R. Bookwalter says, "No idea of the release date (it may already be in release), but the distributor is Gemini Film, [which is] the exclusive distributor for 20th Century Fox in Ukraine...." Check out the All New box art which is very similar to the U.S. release version.

In other news, both OCTOBER MOON and NOVEMBER SON will begin back-to-back screenings beginning at the end of the summer. The double-feature event will be taken to film festivals around the country and will run through the fall of 2007. NOVEMBER SON will also begin public screenings on its own at the end of summer.

Finally, you can see OCTOBER MOON on the big screen on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Java Vino in Racine, WI as a part of their weekly Cine-Ma-Tic film series. Showtime begins at 6 p.m. with FREE ADIMISSION and a Q&A with OCTOBER MOON/NOVEMBER SON cast/crew members present.

                    R.I.P. John GrzegorczykR.I.P. John Grzegorczyk

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of John Grzegorczyk on Friday, March 16, 2007. Few details are available at this time. John was an actor who portrayed the Detective/Lieutenant in OCTOBER MOON and the upcoming NOVEMBER SON. He was also a regular in the theater scene in South-Eastern Wisconsin and held additional behind-the-scenes positions on other independent feature films such as the 1992 thriller
THE PAINT JOB (1992). More details will be passed on as we hear them. It is believed a funeral will be held in Kenosha, WI on Tuesday, March 20th. Please keep John and his family in your thoughts...

3.3.07 - The numbers are in and we are delighted to announce that TempeDVD has officially listed OCTOBER MOON as their Best Selling title of 2006!!! We were neck-in-neck with Tempe's child vampire tale DAWN and the grotesquely comical zombie rampager THE STINK OF FLESH, but in the end OCTOBER MOON sold the most units.

In celebration of this honor, Tempe has temporarily reduced the price of OCTOBER MOON from $24.99 down to $14.99!!! Scoot over to www.tempevideo.com to snag your copy today. You can also get a look at our biggest competition DAWN ($14.99) and THE STINK OF FLESH ($14.99). Both great horror flicks our crazy Elliot would love!!!   11.15.06 - It's been a busy Fall here at B+Boy Productions, so please excuse our delay in keeping you posted on the life and progress of OCTOBER MOON.

This past October found a feature story on OCTOBER MOON and its sequel NOVEMBER SON in an issue of Instinct Magazine. We'll be posting a copy of that piece online sometime in the near future. It was a beautiful full-color two page spread which even made the cover of the magazine, so it's an awesome publicity piece! The issue just left newsstands last week, but if you'd like to purchase a copy for $9 (includes shipping and handling), please write to jasonpaulcollum@hotmail.com.

OCTOBER MOON also received more big screen exposure at the IT CAME FROM LAKE MICHIGAN film festival. Stars Brinke Stevens (Nancy), Darcey Vanderhoef (Maggie), Jerod Howard (Elliot), plus director Jason Paul Collum, and Executive Producer Michael John Isaacson were all on hand over the weekend to greet fans and talk about the production.

Finally, we have a new review which is currently running in the November issue of COLORADO SPRINGS INDEPENDENT. Pick up copies on newsstands now, or go to our REVIEWS section and take a gander.

9.25.06 - Readers of INSTINCT magazine (October 2006) can now catch a 2 page-full color story on the history of OCTOBER MOON and the making of NOVEMBER SON. We even receive major attention on the front cover of the mag, dead center! Complete with nice big photos of a gored up Ashley J. Anderson (Red), and a zombified Sean Michael Lambrecht (Corin) and Jerod Howard (Elliot) chasing Judith O'Dea (Emily) around, the article is an edited version of director Jason Paul Collum's on-set diary for the making-of NOVEMBER SON. Due to space constraints, INSTINCT edited the original piece from 3,700 words down to under 1,000 -- BUT FEAR NOT!!! You can read all of Collum's complete crazy thoughts and dirty laundry on sister site's "Publicity" page. Much Thanks to INSTINCT for treating us so well during yet another spooky Halloween season.

In coming weeks you'll be finding additional glimpses at past publicity from Instinct, Fangoria, Quest and many other sources on both this site and our sister site www.novembersonthefilm.com, so keep checking back!

group photo9.5.06 - OCTOBER MOON invades Chicago! Yes, it was a month ago, but the cast and crew of OCTOBER MOON and its currently filming sequel NOVEMBER SON showed up to terrorize the masses at Chicago's 5th Annual Flashback Weekend Horror and Sci-Fi Convention.

The following weekend found OCTOBER MOON's Sean Michael Lambrecht, Jeff Dylan Graham, Jerod Howard and Executive Producer J.R. Bookwalter haunting the desolate halls of Cleaveland, Ohio's
Twisted Nightmare Weekend, back for it's 4th Year!

Find out more about these trips of terror at the newly launched NOVEMBER SON website!!!! Go to www.novembersonthefilm.com to find all new goodies on the making of the sequel to our successful indie shocker!!!

8.8.06 - A few new items to fill you in on concerning the sequel to OCTOBER MOON. The film is no longer known as OCTOBER MOON 2 NOVEMBER SON. It is now simply titled NOVEMBER SON. This decision became official during the shoot because the producers ultimately decided the title was too long. It was also figured that calling it OCTOBER MOON 2 would deter those who haven't seen the orginal film from watching the sequel. Therefore, a new title would draw in more viewers and, should they enjoy it, direct them back to the orginal film. As of now, the idea is to have the opening title card read "NOVEMBER SON." Then at the end of the film, a title card will appear reading "NOVEMBER SON: a sequel to OCTOBER MOON." Does that make sense?

Second, a trailer is now online!!!! You can see all the hard work put in by Judith O'Dea, Brinke Stevens, Debbie Rochon, Tina Ona Paukstelis, Darcey Vanderhoef, Ashley J. Anderson, Jerod Howard, Sean Michael Lambrecht, Karen Dilloo, and newcomers Sacha Sacket and Lloyd Pedersen, among many others. Click on Trailers and select NOVEMBER SON.

That's right, for our third announcement, you can get more details out of the new production at our new MySpace page. It's all listed as NOVEMBER SON: You'll find the trailer, photos, and have more direct contact with the cast and crew, as many of them are already memebers! All the same goes for the original OCTOBER MOON, which as well has its own MySpace page.

As always you may contact me through this site with any questions regarding the films. And if you're a mid-west horror convention lovers, you can catch myself and many cast and crew members at the upcoming "It Came From Lake Michigan" horror film festival this Halloween. Go to www.itcamefromlakemichigan.com for info.

Best as Always,
Jason

7.21.06 - We are delighted to announce that principle photography has begun on NOVEMBER SON, the sequel to OCTOBER MOON. The title has officially been changed from the previously announced OCTOBER MOON 2 NOVEMBER SON for a number of reasons, but mainly because the shorter version just sounds cooler.

For those of you hungry to see some sneak peeks of what we've been up to since cameras began rolling on July 9th, here are just a very few we're releasing to the public.

Judith O'Dea in November Son
Emily (Judith O'Dea) awakens from an early nightmare.

Shot from November Son
The coffin floats by.... (literally a last minute moment of inspiration developed on set by Jason Paul Collum and brought to life over the course of two hours!!!! You'll have to hear the commentary to understand how this came to be!)

Sean Michael Lambrecht and Jerod Howard in November Son
Corin (Sean Michael Lambrecht) and Elliot (Jerod Howard)...lovers at last....

Brinke Stevens and Sean Michael Lambrecht in November Son
Corin (Sean Michael Lambrecht) asks Nancy (Brinke Stevens) for one last kiss....

We'll be honest...this shoot has been rough and exhausting for all involved, but in looking at the footage thus far shot by Jason Satterfield and the wonderful behind-the-scenes pix taken by set photographer Daina Tomsons, we seem to have struck gold twice!!! Spirits have been raised and enthusiasm returning as we prepare to wrap this sucker up! Sure, we've been shooting 17 hour days and living off of a diet of McDonalds and pizza, but that's what true indie filmmakingis all about!!! And hey, no one' s been rushed to the hospital....yet....

So with that we leave you, our devoted fans, a few nasty pix to whet your appetites. More info on the production is on the way including more pix, a brand new website devoted entirely to
NOVEMBER SON, and even a TRAILER, making its debut at Chicago's FLASHBACK WEEKEND OF HORROR this coming Saturday, July 29th! Meet the cast and crew of the original OCTOBER MOON and its sequel!!! The trailer should be up for viewing within the next two weeks, so check back here for more info!!!! You can also hang out with us under "November Son" on MySpace.com and check out the single theme-song "Sweet Suicide" by musician Sacha Sacket, who plays our sexy male lead "Eli." See you back soon!

6.13.06 - We have an all new review of OCTOBER MOON in our REVIEWS section of the site by Brant Johnson of Horrorwood Babble On (cute, heh?), so click over to check it out.

In sequel news, OCTOBER MOON 2 NOVEMBER SON is thrilled to announce one of our Fave Genre Actresses Miss Debbie Rochon has joined the returning cast as "Hillary," the very young mother of lead mystery man "Eli," portrayed by newcomer Sacha Sacket. Seems Hillary holds a major key in the truth to Eli's path, and if that key unlocks the wrong door, she just might find herself on the wrong end of a butcher knife. Yikes!

Another tid bit of sequel news - albeit not a major one - is that shooting dates have been pushed just a mere 3 days: Cameras now role July 9th thru July 13th. Yup. We're pulling this off in just 5 days! Think we can't do it?! You'll have to wait to find out.

Now for the sad news. Vinnie Evelyn Campeau, grandmother to director Jason Paul Collum, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 after 90 wonderful years. Vinnie Executive Produced many of her grandson's earliest features like 5 DARK SOULS (1996) and JULIA WEPT (2000), though she often did not receive on screen credit for her contributions. She will be missed by all for her graciousness, love and on going support in seeing all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren chasing their dreams.

Rest in Peace
Vinnie Evelyn (Rosenberg) Campeau
December 11, 1915 - June 7, 2006

5.12.06 - THE BIG NEWS FANS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR... We Hope...

Horror faves Judith O'Dea (Night of the Living Dead) and Brinke Stevens (The Slumber Party Massacre) reunite with Tina Ona Paukstelis (Aswang: The Unearthing), Darcey Vanderhoef (Bad Movie Police, Case #1) and most of the original cast members for a sequel to the indie success
OCTOBER MOON, released by TempeDVD  earlier this year. Filming is set to begin July 6, 2006 on OCTOBER MOON 2 NOVEMBER SON under the direction of the original film's Jason Paul Collum and produced under his B+Boy Productions banner.

The thriller follows the surviving characters Sacha Sacket Imageswhose lives begin to intertwine with Eli, a new mystery man (musician Sacha Sacket, pictured) hiding a very dark secret of his own connecting him to the events of the first film. Two as-yet-unnamed, but well-known genre actors are expected to fill the roles of Eli's parents, plus appearances by Robyn Griggs (One Life To Live) and the original film's Jerod Howard ("Elliot") and Sean Michael Lambrecht ("Corin").

Collum promises, "...the sequel will be even darker in tone, and the horror will begin much earlier in the story, compared to the original, but will maintain the dramatic events and characterizations which pleased so many of
the fans. There will be a bit more grue as well." He also confirms the theme will be less in-your-face gay vs. straight-oriented, "...since I already covered that ground. Now it will simply follow characters of both orientations, whose personal sexuality has little to do with the events around them. The women actually become more of the focus this time, as they deal with their losses from the first bought of mayhem. Don't, however, rule out a few political references to our culture and the state of marriage equalilty, etc. I have to use my voice in some way....You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll scream."

A mid-2007 release is expected. Additional information is continuously updated at this site. Watch for more photos, cast interviews and a whole new site dedicated to the first gay-themed horror film franchise in history!!!! YEAH!

If you haven't caught the original
OCTOBER MOON, copies are still available nationwide at various places (including their online sites) like Best Buy, Circuit City, Barnes & Noble, Roger's Video, Blockbuster, and more... or order direct from this site in the "Store" section or go browse www.tempevideo.com.

More NEWS in the upcoming weeks!

4.6.06 - Some really great reviews and interviews with lead actor Sean Michael Lambrecht and director Jason Paul Collum have been posted in the "REVIEWS" section.

Plus, only a month on store shelves and we're incredibly thrilled to announce DVDs of OCTOBER MOON have gone into their 3rd (!) pressing, thanks to an additionally huge re-order from Netflix and re-orders from Amazon, which has already SOLD OUT (!!!!) of its initial buy! How cool is that?!?!

More big news on the way in the next few weeks, so be sure to check back soon!

3.3.06 - It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of David A. Collum, the father of OCTOBER MOON writer/director Jason Paul Collum and key inspiration for much of the "Elliot and Marti" relationship storyline in OCTOBER MOON.

From his obituary:
TUCSON, AZ – David A. Collum, 59, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 1, 2006 in his sleep after a long battle with congestive heart failure and Multiple Sclerosis.

David was born May 17, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI, but lived most of his teen and early adult years in Racine. He was among the highest grading students from Horlick High School’s Class of 1965. He moved to Tucson, AZ in the early 1980s. Throughout his life David worked as a nurse aide, often in retirement homes, and was active in many organizations to help less fortunate and disabled people. He was also a published poet, an artist, and a lover of music and film, especially scary movies. He also loved to swim and spend time out in nature.

He is survived by his son, Jason Collum of Racine; his mother Roma Lee (nee: Forrest) and step-father Irwin Collum, his sister Jade (nee: Lown) and brother-in-law Eric Marshall, nieces Sierra, Erica, and nephew Shane Tols (all of Tucson, AZ), aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large group of friends. He was preceeded in death by his father Robert Lown, maternal grandparents Frankie and Grace (nee: Erskine) Forrest, paternal grandparents Ross and Eva (nee: Wright) Lown, and longtime companion Kurt Trembelin. No service is planned, per David’s request.

1.30.06 - OCTOBER MOON goes global! Executive Producer J.R. Bookwalter has just returned from a trip overseas and has informed us he's secured a deal to release OCTOBER MOON in the Ukraine! Direct from his mouth, "...it's part of a 2-picture deal [including his 1996 sci-fi flick POLYMORPH], a 1-year license to test a totally new market where small indie flicks have never been seen before. The company releasing the titles has an exclusive deal there with 20th Century Fox, so we'll get the same DVD/VHS treatment that they do...." Not bad. The film will be dubbed in Russian (can't wait to see that!) and is planned to receive a late March 2006 release! We'll keep you posted when its availability and any websites are announced.

In other news, more excellent reviews have been posting all over the internet. You can also catch a big GORY photo of actor Sean Michael Lambrecht in this month's issue of Fangoria magazine. We've also added two new film convention appearances, so skip over to the Showtimes & Special Events section.

We're only TWO WEEKS away from our official DVD release date in stores nationwide, so start reserving your copies now! Netflix is already accepting reservations, and Amazon has just ordered a big bundle of copies to fill their pre-sale orders! Finally, if you live near South Eastern Wisconsin, don't forget to attend our DVD Release Party at 94 North in Kenosha, WI on Sunday, February 12th! Showtime begins at 7 p.m.!

1.19.06 - Hear, or rather "read," Director Jason Paul Collum go on a tangent about the need for Gay-themed horror films, the difficulties in being gay (okay...so it's partly a pity-party for one), and trying to get the breeders in the audience who know nothing of gay-lifestyles (Come on people! Do you not watch WILL & GRACE or QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY?!?) to understand -- and prepare -- for the legend that is OCTOBER MOON. All this because the straight reviewer at Bumscorner.com walked away from the film with a very different and unexpected take on the subject matter.View it all at http://www.bumscorner.com!

1.18.06 - New public screening events and special convention appearances have been added to our "Showtimes and Special Events" page!

Still trying to get your hands on a FREE copy of OCTOBER MOON? Check out the current issue of Rue Morgue magazine (now on sale at Barnes & Noble, Borders, and many other fine retailers) to enter their contest! 20 FREE copies of OCTOBER MOON on DVD are being picked soon courtesy of Rue Morgue and Paradox Entertainment.

1.5.06 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Sorry to have been away for so long, but you know the holidaze season. So we're getting back on track with some excellent new information for the upcoming year. In other news, we've begun receiving our first reviews, so scoot on over to the REVIEWS page for peek. Don't forget to write your own reviews at sites like www.imdb.com, www.rottentomatoes.com, www.horrormovies.com, and any others we may have not yet discovered.

We'll also be launching more theatrical/public screening events beginning late January and into February, including some university tours, so keep posted here for those. If you'd like to see
OCTOBER MOON come to your campus, e mail director Jason Paul Collum at jasonpaulcollum@hotmail.com with contact information. Each university screening is preceeded by a 30 minute lecture from Collum on the making of OCTOBER MOON and several of his other low-budget features like SOMETHING TO SCREAM ABOUT, currently airing on Showtime. Especially entertaining for film study groups and Gay & Lesbian organizations.

Finally, we will be organizing an on-line chat with stars Judith O'Dea, Brinke Stevens, Sean Michael Lambrecht, Jerod Howard, Jeff Dylan Graham and Darcey Vanderhoef (plus a few other suprise guests) at our official Yahoo! Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/octobermoongroup/ about 2 weeks! You must be a member of the group to participate and receive the announcement of the exact date and time. So scurry to talk with these talented folks.

That's it for now. More info coming as we draw closer to the Official Release Date on Valentine's Day!

8.25.05 - Much big news today!
1.Tempe Entertainment/TempeDVD has released the official artwork for the theatrical and DVD release.

2. Additionally, Tempe has announced February 14th, 2006 (Yes, Valentine's Day) as the DVD release date. This will allow enough exposure time for the public screenings, bar tour and film festivals.

3. The fun interview-extravaganza site www.racksandrazors.com has released interviews with OCTOBER MOON alumni Jerod Howard, Brinke Stevens, Jeff Dylan Graham, and Jason Paul Collum. Check 'em all out!

4. In pseudo-related news, director Jason Paul Collum steps in front of the camera today as an actor, joining OM leading lady Tina Ona Paukstelis on the set of the haunted house pic THE LEGEND TRIP. Written and Directed by newcomer Jason Satterfield, the film is being lensed in Waukesha, Wisconsin and features Collum as "Mr. Buth," a man in 1870 who discovers his family slaughtered then blows his own head off -- events which lead to paranormal activities some 135 years later... We'll post that movie's website once it's available.
ariauna

5. Horror fans may not get to see much of her in OCTOBER MOON, but WITCHOUSE  1 & 2 vixen Ariauna Albright has been officially added to the cast list. The red-headed beauty, who has also done recent turns in CAMP UTOPIA and the cult favorites HORRORVISION and THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING, had originally been glimpsed in photos throughout OM and a clip of her from the BAD MOVIE POLICE comedy franchise. Now, happily, she'll be lending her voice to a few scenes as well. See if you can pick them out when you see the movie....

6. Finally, we have secured the rights to the final song, "The Prodigal," written and performed by Sacha Sacket from his album "Shadowed."
With his beautifully haunting voice and prose, Sacket's song is the perfect choice for the closing moments and images of OCTOBER MOON. For a sneak listen, check out his samples at www.sachasacket.com. (And order a copy of the CD while you're there... I guarantee you'll love it!)

The song (which is actually a newer version updated by the group in 1997) will be heard during a key moment in a gay bar scene where Elliot realizes he is falling for Corin. Special thanks to Vince Andrews, Jade Starling and Chemikal Entertainment Group for their help in making this a reality. You can visit Jade's personal site at www.jadestarling.com to hear all of her newest music releases and get some info on her appearences with Pretty Poison.

8.1.05 - Writer/director Jason Paul Collum, Executive Producers J.R. Bookwalter and Michael Isaacson, Line Producer Jennifer Lynn Goebel and star Jerod Howard ("Elliot") were all on hand at Chicago's Flashback Weekend Horror'ama this past July 29 - 31 to promote OCTOBER MOON. The trailer was shown repeatedly, flyers handed out, and additional information was given to the many fans who stopped by Jason's booth curious about the film, its orgins, and its release dates. During a Tempe Entertainment panel discussion with J.R. and Jason (and a showing of the trailer), only one audience member left upon hearing the word "gay."
